Texas Dexter Breeders Association

About Us

What is the purpose of membership in the American Dexter Cattle Association?

As an owner/breeder, if you wish to register your Dexter cattle, you must become a member of the American Dexter Cattle Association. The ADCA is the official U.S. registry body for the breed, and provides information on pedigrees, genetic testing and breeders throughout the country.

What is the purpose of the Texas Dexter Breeders Association?

The TDBA’s mission is to enhance the economic value and membership benefits for Texas owners/breeders of American Dexter Cattle Association (ADCA)-registered Dexter cattle. To that end, the Association aims to: (1) Cooperatively provide enhanced services to all Texas members of the American Dexter Cattle Association, (2) support ethical breeding practices and continually improve the quality of the breed through education, (3) support the development of youth in 4H and FFA through programs that include Dexter cattle, projects and non-cattle merit recognition, and (4) promote the Dexter breed for the collective benefit of all members.
